Filipino people have different kind of habits, one of these are:

Mañana Habits you could also call this in tagalog “Bahala na”, this is the national philosophy in the days before the advent of Christianity. God was called “bathala” by ancient Filipinos, the expression “Bahala na” is derived from this world and expresses faith in god (God will provide) or (come what may). Some Filipino use this expression specially when they don’t know what to do. They believe the saying (go with the flow) so it seems like they just let God provide it and they just don’t care if the effect on them is good or bad.

From what I’ve seen, the place where I lived, some people there are getting lazy doing anything to make their life good, they are just sitting there, playing basketball, smoking and they always use the expression “bahala na” like they said “Bahala na” takes on a whole meaning when you use it in a context.

Eating habits. Filipino’s love to eat because food is the basis of their social life. One thing that makes Filipino people fulfilled is after they eat rice, because Filipino people love rice and they said its hard to live without rice. Rice is the basis of the Filipino meal, specially in breakfast, lunch and dinner, and a normal meal in a poor family may consist of a mountain of rice with a salty fish that they call daing (dried fish) and bagoong (shrimp paste). Filipino’s can easily accept the simplicity of their life and that makes Filipino unique.

Most of the Filipino specialties are pancit, adobo, lumpia, chop suey, sinigang and tinolang manok. This is there National dishes. Filipino’s love to eat street food too, like barbecue, fish ball and balut (boiled chicken egg containing a partially formed embryo).

Habits in TV. Filipino people love to watch TV all the time, all day all night. They cant live without TV coz they love to watch it specially Filipino Telenovelas and some other Filipino programs. They find it so interesting and it makes their days complete specially if they watch their favorite TV programs. Even the Filipinos that are working and staying abroad still have the TFC (The Filipino Channel).

Not on time habits (always late). As you can see some Filipino workers are sometimes late to their work. The words that they use when they are late are “because its traffic”. There is some situation also specially if they have a meeting, party or have a plan to go to the beach with friends, they always say what time they will come but most of them are not coming on time, they are half hour late or even more than an hour late. That is one of the Filipino habits that we need to change, coz we all know that “time is gold” we need to be early and always be on time specially now coz its new year. You need to include this in your new year resolution.

Crab mentality habits. As what they called being like (Juan Tamad) - Being lazy and having this crab mentality attitude we need to get rid of these because it will not help us to make our life improve. We need to work hard and be fast not being lazy all the time, we need to think in advance what is the best thing to do so that we can have the best improvement in our life.
